Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect on tfastdigital.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and plain.

1. Who we are

TFast Digital Agency is a business name registered in Uganda. The sole proprietor is Kalyango Brian. We are based in Wakiso, Uganda. We build websites, apps and custom software, and we sell software and related products. In this policy, "we", "us" and "TFast" mean TFast Digital Agency.

TFast Digital Agency is a business. It is not a charity, NGO or non-profit organisation.

We decide why and how your personal information is used on tfastdigital.com. This makes us the "data controller" for that information.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers tfastdigital.com and the accounts, orders, forms and services on it. Other websites run by TFast may have their own policies.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

Account sign-up: your first name, last name, email address and a password, if you create an account with email.
Sign in with Google: if you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares basic profile information that you allow it to share. This is usually your name, email address and profile picture, where available. We do not receive your Google password.
Orders and projects: details about what you buy or ask us to build, such as the product or service, your order history and the project information you send us.
Messages and enquiries: if you contact us, we collect what you send. Our contact form can ask for your name, email address, company, what you want to build, a subject and your message. Our quote and enquiry form can also ask for your phone number.
Support chat: our site has a support chat assistant. If you use it, we collect the messages you type and any contact details you choose to give.
Newsletter: if you sign up in our footer, we collect your email address.
Donations: if you support our Digital Skills Initiative (see tfastdigital.com/donate), we may collect the details needed to receive and record your support, such as your name, email address, the amount and the date.
Payments: when you pay us, the payment is handled by trusted third-party payment providers. We do not ask you to send us full card numbers or PINs.

Information collected automatically

Technical data: such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. Most web servers record this.
Site activity: our site stores a random visitor ID in your browser. It sends basic activity to our own server. This includes the type of page you are on, time spent on the page, how far you scroll, and clicks on our calls-to-action. We use it to understand how the site is used and to improve the site and the support chat.

4. Why we use your information

We use your information for the purposes below. For each one we give the basis in plain words.

To create and run your account. Basis: you asked for it, and we need it to provide the account.
To process orders, deliver work and give support. Basis: we need it to carry out our contract with you.
To reply to your messages and quote requests. Basis: you asked us to, or we need it to act on your request.
To send our newsletter. Basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
To keep the site secure and prevent abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our business and our users.
To understand how the site is used and improve it. Basis: our legitimate interest, and your consent where the law requires it.
To keep records and meet legal, tax and accounting duties. Basis: legal obligation.
To handle donations and thank supporters. Basis: you chose to support us, and our record-keeping duties.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only when we need to. This can include:

Service providers that help us run the site and our services, such as hosting, email, the support chat and payment providers. They may use your information only to provide their service to us, and payment providers also handle your payment details under their own terms and privacy policies.
Google, if you use Google sign-in. Our site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google may receive your IP address when a page loads.
Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, when needed.
Authorities, if the law requires us to share information, or to protect rights and safety.
A buyer or successor, if our business is ever sold or transferred.

6. Sending information outside Uganda

Some of the providers we use, such as Google, may store or process information outside Uganda. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information stays protected and that the transfer is allowed under Uganda's data protection law. We cannot control the laws of other countries.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as the law requires. Then we delete it or make it anonymous. We may keep order, payment and accounting records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.

8. How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Our site uses HTTPS, which encrypts data between your browser and our site. We limit who can see your information. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and keep it private.

If a security incident affects your personal information, we will act quickly. We will tell you and the authorities where the law requires.

9. Cookies and similar tools

Our site uses cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. Our Cookie Policy page gives a short summary. The details are below.

Essential cookies: the site sets a session cookie and a security cookie. They keep the site working and keep you signed in. The site will not work properly without them.
Preference storage: your browser stores your chosen theme (light or dark) and similar settings.
Usage measurement: the visitor ID and activity data described in section 3. This is sent to our own server.
Fonts: the site loads fonts from Google Fonts.

The site shows a cookie notice, where you can choose "Allow". You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the site, such as signing in, may stop working.

10. Your rights

Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 gives you rights over your personal information. In plain words, you can:

Ask for access: ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
Ask us to correct it: if it is wrong, incomplete or out of date.
Ask us to delete it: in some cases, for example when we no longer need it. We may have to keep some records because the law requires it.
Object: ask us to stop using your information in certain ways, including for direct marketing.
Withdraw consent: where we rely on your consent, you can take it back at any time. This does not affect what we did before.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 15. We may need to check who you are first. We will reply within 30 days. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the law that cannot be excluded.

11. Children

Our site and services are for adults and businesses. They are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information. If you think a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Links to other websites

Our site links to other websites, including third-party sites. We do not control them. Their privacy practices are their own. Please read their policies before you share information with them.

13. Sign in with Google: Google user data

If you sign in with Google, we use the basic profile information Google shares with us (such as your name, email address and profile picture) only to create your TFast account and sign you in. TFast's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it. You can remove TFast's access at any time in your Google Account settings.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If a change is important, we will tell you in a clearer way, such as by email or a notice on the site. Our Terms of Service and Refund and Cancellation Policy are also available on this site.
