MTN MoMo & Airtel Money Integration
Let customers pay with MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Money on your website, app or business system. Payments are requested on the customer's phone and recorded automatically once the provider confirms them. Questions we are asked
Do I need my own MTN MoMo or Airtel Money account?
Yes. You or your business must register for the provider's merchant/API access and own that account. I don't open or manage financial accounts for anyone. I build the integration with the keys you get, starting with sandbox keys.
Which countries does this work in?
Any country where your MTN MoMo or Airtel Money API account is active. Endpoints, currencies and approval steps differ by country, so tell me your country and whether you go direct or through an aggregator before we start.
What if the provider callback never arrives?
I add a status-check fallback. A payment the provider confirmed still updates your order, and one that fails or expires is marked clearly instead of staying "pending" forever.
Can you set up payouts/disbursements?
Yes, where your provider account has disbursements enabled. Many accounts start with collections only, so we confirm this before payouts are included.
Will it work with my mobile app?
Yes. The payment logic lives on your server, and your Android/iOS/Flutter app calls your own backend endpoints. Keys never sit inside the app.
Do you need my passwords?
No. I start with sandbox keys. If live access is needed we arrange a limited account, or you enter the live keys yourself, and you change them after delivery.
