How to help the Digital Skills Initiative
You can help the Digital Skills Initiative with working devices inside Uganda, funding, skills and time, or introductions. Email tfastdigital256@gmail.com or message WhatsApp +256 751 399 620, tell us what you can offer, and we will reply with the practical next step. Please contact us before sending any device.

How can individuals help?
- Give a working device that is already in Uganda. Message us first so we can agree a hand-over.
- Support the work financially. Message us and we will explain what is possible at the moment.
- Give some time. Even a one-off guest talk helps.
- Share the story. Send our story and the initiative page to someone who may help.
When you are ready, the Donate / Support page is the place to start.
How can companies and tech companies help?
- Equipment that your company can lawfully hand over inside Uganda, or help with buying devices locally.
- Sponsorship of devices, internet data or training.
- Software and education licences, cloud credits and learning resources.
- Staff time for mentoring, talks or curriculum help.
- Technical and training partnerships.
Nothing is agreed yet, and we will not name any company as a partner until it has agreed to be named. Write to us with what you can offer and what your company needs to see, such as reporting, and we will discuss it.
How can foundations and grant-makers help?
We can explain the problem, the plan, what we need and how we will report. TFAST is a business, not a registered charity. If your programme can only fund registered organisations, we would like to talk about a partner school or community organisation acting as the registered recipient, with TFAST delivering the work. We are not publishing beneficiary numbers yet because none are confirmed. Read how we handle support.
How can volunteers help?
- In Uganda: help set up computers, assist at sessions or support logistics.
- From anywhere: mentor beginners in web or coding, give a guest talk, help with learning material, translate, or make introductions.
Roles near children need safeguarding steps first. In your message, include your name, where you are, your skills and how much time you can give.
Another campaign: Mukono Friendship Village
TFAST also hosts a campaign page for Mukono Friendship Village, a community in Takajunge village, Mukono District, where Brian grew up. Brian says its children now need skills. Other needs have not been confirmed yet, so please contact us before sending anything.

Frequently asked questions
Can I send a used laptop from abroad?
Please contact us first and do not ship anything. Uganda has import rules for electronics, including used computers, and we do not ask anyone abroad to send used equipment.
Can I give money?
Message us first. We will explain what is possible at the moment and how support can be received. Please do not send money to anyone claiming to collect for TFAST unless you have confirmed it with us directly by email or WhatsApp.
Do I have to be in Uganda to volunteer?
No. Some roles need someone in Uganda, such as helping with sessions or setting up computers. Others can be done from anywhere, such as mentoring, guest talks, translation or introductions.
Will I get a tax receipt?
No. TFAST is a business and does not issue tax receipts. Contributions are not tax-deductible.
Is TFAST a charity or NGO?
No. TFAST Digital Agency is a registered Ugandan business name (sole proprietor). Foundations that can only fund registered charities may need a partner school or community organisation as the registered recipient; we are open to that conversation.
